Use the filters to pick a size and presentation (vial, pen or serum) and compare like for like, or view every size on a £ per mg basis. Delivery is shown separately because it varies by supplier and order size. Offers whose outbound link failed our last check stay listed but rank below working links.

For in-vitro laboratory research only

Humanin is listed here as a research material. It is not for human or veterinary consumption, and nothing on this page is medical advice or dosing guidance. PeptideCompare is paid by flat supplier fees — never by sales commission or referral — so a price ranks by its number, not by who pays. We do not sell, test or verify any product, and quality or CoA labels are suppliers’ own claims. Always check the final price, documentation and legality with the supplier yourself.

Research profile

About Humanin in the lab

Humanin is a 24-amino-acid peptide encoded within mitochondrial 16S rRNA. It was discovered in a screen for factors protecting neurons from Alzheimer's-related toxicity, and is now studied in metabolic and ageing models.

Proposed mechanism

Acts both inside cells (binding pro-apoptotic Bax and IGFBP3) and at the surface through a CNTFR/WSX-1/gp130 receptor complex and FPRL1, activating STAT3 survival signalling.

Structure note

Mitochondria-derived peptide (24 amino acids).

Amino-acid sequence (one-letter)
