For in-vitro laboratory research only

ACE-083 is listed here as a research material. It is not for human or veterinary consumption, and nothing on this page is medical advice or dosing guidance. PeptideCompare is paid by flat supplier fees — never by sales commission or referral — so a price ranks by its number, not by who pays. We do not sell, test or verify any product, and quality or CoA labels are suppliers’ own claims. Always check the final price, documentation and legality with the supplier yourself.

About ACE-083 in the lab

ACE-083 is an engineered follistatin–Fc fusion protein designed to act locally in the tissue where it is placed. It was investigated in muscle-disorder programmes, and its research interest lies in separating local from systemic TGF-β family inhibition.

Proposed mechanism

The follistatin domain binds myostatin and activins, blocking their receptor engagement; the modified heparin-binding region is intended to keep activity close to the tissue of administration.

Typical research themes

  • Follistatin binding
  • Local vs systemic inhibition
  • Muscle-fibre models
