Vilon is the dipeptide lysyl-glutamic acid, one of the shortest peptides in the bioregulator series. It is studied for effects on chromatin structure and immune-cell function in ageing models.
Proposed mechanism
Reported to decondense heterochromatin and reactivate silenced genes in lymphocytes from older donors. Independent replication is limited.
